A Quick Overview to KTMDC
KTDMC (Karachi Tools, Dies & Moulds Centre) is one of Pakistan’s most advanced training and manufacturing institutions, dedicated to developing the country’s engineering and tooling industry.
In collaboration with PIDC and ایمان اتحاد نظم, KTDMC aims to strengthen Pakistan’s industrial foundation by merging technology, innovation, and skilled training under one roof.
To communicate this vision and expand its outreach, KTDMC partnered with ArtxFilms to create a corporate videography that would visually present both the manufacturing excellence and training ecosystem inspiring young engineers, industrial clients, and investors alike.
What we Set to Achieve
The idea was to show how KTDMC is not just a facility, it’s a movement.
A place where machines shape metal, and mentors shape futures.
Artxfilms designed a visual narrative that connected the precision of manufacturing with the passion of learning. The concept of the corporate branding video revolved around “from creation to capability” capturing how every die, mould, and measurement is a reflection of human skill, knowledge, and dedication.

We captured the rhythmic motion of machines, the glow of heated metal, and the concentration of engineers at work. Alongside, we recorded students in training rooms working on designs, analyzing data, and learning from experienced instructors. The goal was to create a visual bridge between industry and education, hands-on skill and high-end technology.
Making it Work Anyway
During one of the most important shoot days while shooting the heat treatment process, a sudden power shutdown occurred due to an area-wide outage. The machines went silent, the lights dimmed, and production paused. It was an unexpected challenge for both the teams, as the scene depended on capturing the glowing intensity of molten metal and active machinery visuals.
Rather than calling off the shoot our team quickly improvised. Using backup lighting, portable power sources, and creative camera techniques, we captured close-up shots focusing on workers’ faces illuminated by handheld lights, showing their patience, discipline, and control even in an uncertain moment.
Those unplanned visuals became a symbolic moment in the video representing how true craftsmanship and learning continue even when the lights go out. The next day, once power was restored, the team resumed shooting and seamlessly integrated both sequences. The result felt powerful, emotional, and cinematic showing the resilience of both man and machine.
How it Turned Out
The final corporate video beautifully highlighted KTDMC’s dual strength: a world-class manufacturing setup and a training institution shaping the next generation of Pakistani engineers. From molten metal to modern classrooms, from precision machining to human learning, every frame carried the message of innovation with purpose.
The video was used for promotional, commercial, and institutional presentations, showcasing KTDMC’s capabilities to both local industries and international partners.
